Mission Statement

Providing people who have disabilities with the highest standard of service in ways that best suit their individual needs.

Throughout the period of the Canterbury earthquakes our company has remained fully operational. We continue to offer four Needs Assessment and Service Coordination programmes under contracts to the Ministry of Health and District Health Boards, namely in the areas of:

• Mental health
• Physical, sensory and intellectual disability
• Long term support chronic health conditions
• Compulsory care for those with an intellectual disability falling under the auspices of the Intellectual Disability Compulsory Care & Rehabilitation Act (IDCC &R Act 2003).

Since the 22 February 2011 earthquake and the loss of our building in Christchurch's central business district we have had to look for creative and innovative ways to continue providing our services within the community.

With the support of 21st century electronic innovations we are now able to have our staff working from ‘remote’ or mobile locations around the city. This is consequently allowing us a better opportunity to link with local communities where those individual staff may now be located and provides an opportunity to further develop the links for those people we work with and for within their own local communities.

The Christchurch community has experienced first hand the need for very close and immediate community links as a result of the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. In the coming year we will further develop our approach to providing an empowering and strength focused model of service delivery which we anticipate will provide greater opportunities to enhance peoples lives and general quality of life.

As a result of the changes made over the previous 12 months and the developments which will evolve over the coming year we would welcome any feedback about your experience of our service delivery to ensure we continue to look at ways to make your need to access supports in any of the above areas as accessible, responsive and positive as possible.
